Creators of South Park Mourn Chef
The creators of South Park, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, have put their differences aside, and put up a “In Memorance of” on their official website. By, “putting differences aside” I mean that Isaac, Trey, and Matt, had an argument over Scientology. Isaac didn’t think they represented the “religion” fairly or accurately. But, when has South Park ever been those things? Because of that, Isaac quit the show.
South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone have paid tribute to the late Isaac Hayes - by posting a message on the show’s website.
The soul legend voiced the character of Chef in the cartoon from 1998, before he was written out of the script in 2006.
Hayes parted ways with the comedy duo after he objected to an episode ridiculing the controversial Scientology religion, of which the singer was a follower.
Their split resulted in Chef being brutally killed off in the cartoon.
However, following Hayes’ death on Sunday, Stone and Parker have posted a simple ‘in memoriam’ tribute on website southparkstudios.com.
I am glad that they did this though. Even though there were some fights and disagreements, Isaac really brought life to Chef, and made him the star of the show.
